Linen, a remarkable natural material, thrives with minimal impact on our planet. Often associated with summer for its exceptional coolness, linen bedding also shines in winter! Despite its strong fibers, proper care is essential. Here’s a guide to maintain your linen garments for lasting beauty and durability.
Stains: Treat stains promptly with a suitable linen stain solution to pre-clean them, avoiding bleach for colored garments as it can damage fibers and remove color.
Wash Carefully: Machine wash at 40°C or hand wash for spot treatments, turning colored garments inside out to protect the fabric. Low-cycle washing prevents shrinkage and wrinkles, preserving the garment’s luster.
Dry Naturally: After washing, shake and lightly pull the garment to remove creases. Air-dry linen garments to reduce wrinkles and creases, avoiding tumble drying to prevent shrinkage.
Ironing or Steaming: Due to linen’s poor elasticity, wrinkles are common. Iron or steam formal garments as needed, spraying with water before ironing to ease the process and prevent fiber breakage.
Storing Linen Garments: Hang garments on wide wooden hangers in your wardrobe to minimize stress on fabric and stitching, preventing permanent creases. Fold linen home textiles and store them in a dry place.

We ship all orders globally directly from our studio located in Lithuania’s capital Vilnius (Europe). Each The Raw Linen piece is handmade in our beautiful studio.
